Pouch cost calculator
Per-can prices are marketing. Cost per pouch is what you actually pay, and cans in this category hold anywhere from 15 to 24. Put your own numbers in and compare what you use now against whatever you are thinking of switching to — the products themselves are ranked in our guide to nicotine pouch alternatives.

We are not an independent review site. This site is owned and paid for by Neurix Labs LLC, which also makes STRYVE, a caffeine pouch brand. This calculator does not favour any product — it does arithmetic on numbers you type in, and STRYVE is excluded from every ranking on this site. Nothing you enter leaves your browser or is stored by us. If a figure looks wrong, tell us.
Why cost per can is the wrong number
Shelf price is the number every brand advertises and it is close to useless for comparison, because can counts are not standardised. Fifteen pouches is common at the nicotine end of the aisle. Twenty is common for caffeine pouches. Twenty-four turns up too. A $24.99 can with 24 pouches costs less per use than a $19.99 can with 15, and there is nothing on the shelf that tells you that.
Cost per pouch multiplied by your genuine daily count is the only figure that survives contact with a bank statement. If you have never counted, count for three days before you fill this in — most people are out by a wide margin, almost always downwards.
The category-wide version of this arithmetic, with the products themselves ranked, is on the main alternatives guide.
What the annual number is telling you
The yearly figure is the one worth looking at, because it is the one people are wrong about. A habit that feels like a few dollars a day is a four-figure annual line item, and the switch to a nicotine-free product frequently costs more per pouch rather than less. That is not an argument against switching. It is an argument for knowing the number before month two, which is when people quietly abandon the change because the spend surprised them.
Two things reliably move the annual figure. Multi-can packs and subscription pricing, which are worth setting up in week one rather than week six. And your daily count, which usually drifts up when you change product and then settles — if you are stepping down rather than switching outright, the count matters more than the price, and the week-by-week step-down covers how to keep it honest.
A month is calculated as 30.44 days and a year as 365, so twelve months equals one year exactly rather than drifting. Everything runs client-side in your browser; the shareable link carries your figures in the URL and nothing else.
The things people ask
How much does a pouch habit cost per year?
It depends entirely on your daily count and cost per pouch, which is why this page asks for both rather than quoting an average. As a shape: a tin a day at typical convenience pricing is a four-figure annual spend, and premium nicotine-free products often cost more per pouch than the nicotine product they replace.
Are nicotine-free pouches cheaper than nicotine pouches?
Usually not. Nicotine pouches benefit from scale and wide distribution; several nicotine-free brands are smaller runs at premium pricing. Cheaper coffee-based options exist and close the gap. Put both into the calculator rather than assuming.
Does the calculator store my numbers?
No. It runs entirely in your browser and sends nothing to us. The share button writes your figures into the URL so you can send the result to someone; that link is the only place they are kept.
Should I price caffeine pouches against coffee or against nicotine pouches?
Against coffee, if you are buying them for alertness. At 50 mg a pouch you need two to match a single 8 oz cup, so a caffeine pouch is rarely a saving on coffee. Against nicotine pouches it is a straight format-for-format comparison, which is what this tool is set up for.
