How much caffeine is in one pouch?

It depends on the brand, but here is how pouches compare to the drinks you already know, and how to keep your daily total safe.

Coffee beans, a familiar caffeine source

Different brands put different amounts of caffeine in each pouch, so the only number that matters is the one printed on the tin you buy. Most caffeine pouches on the market land somewhere around a strong cup of coffee per pouch. For exact STRYVE figures, check the product label (STRYVE_MG_SPEC).

How everyday caffeine sources compare

SourceTypical caffeine
Brewed coffee (8 oz)about 95 mg
Espresso (1 shot)about 63 mg
Black tea (8 oz)about 47 mg
Cola (12 oz)about 35 mg
Energy drink (8 oz)about 80 mg
Caffeine pouch (per pouch)Varies by brand, check the tin

Drink figures are typical approximations. Actual amounts vary by preparation and brand.

Source: U.S. Food and Drug Administration, "Spilling the Beans: How Much Caffeine is Too Much?" The FDA cites up to 400 mg/day for healthy adults, and notes about 1,200 mg in a rapid dose as a level where toxic effects can occur. Dated as of this update.
Stay under the ceiling
The FDA points to up to 400 mg/day for healthy adults. Add every source together, including coffee, tea, soda, energy drinks, pre-workout and pouches, and keep the total under that line.

A quick daily math example

Say you have two coffees, about 190 mg, and one energy drink, about 80 mg. That is roughly 270 mg before any pouch. That leaves limited headroom for the rest of your day, so plan accordingly.

Easy to overshoot
Because pouches are discreet and convenient, it is genuinely easy to lose track of how many you have used. Count them like coffees. If you feel jittery, anxious, or your heart is racing, you have had too much.

Frequently asked questions

How much caffeine does a STRYVE pouch contain?

Always check the current product label for the exact figure (STRYVE_MG_SPEC). We deliberately do not quote a number here that could go out of date.

Is one pouch equal to a cup of coffee?

Roughly, for many brands, but it depends entirely on the brand and the strength of your coffee. The tin tells you the real number.

How many pouches a day is safe?

There is no single answer, because it depends on the per-pouch dose and your other caffeine. The right frame is keeping your total daily caffeine under the FDA guidance for healthy adults.

What happens if I have way too much caffeine?

Symptoms include a fast heartbeat, anxiety, nausea, tremor and insomnia. The FDA notes that very large rapid doses, around 1,200 mg, can cause toxic effects such as seizures. If you feel seriously unwell, seek medical help.
